Do you like unisex names?

well not really. well on a girl i do like:

kelly

leslie

ashley

but not on a guy.

Do you like unisex names?
Yes. My name is Jordan and I am a girl. I named my second daughter Mackenzie, which is a unisex name. Other than Mackenzie, I am not a big fan of other unisex names.
Reply:Depends on the name. In general, I like unisex names on girls, not on boys. Some unisex names today are way too feminine (examples: Kelly, Tracy, Ashley, Alexis, Carrie, Avery) for boys.

On girls, I like Rowan, Sydney, Riley, Morgan, Sklyar.

Some names should remain a boy's name...it's too masculine like Hunter, Sean, Tyler, Dylan but it's crossing over to unisex.
Reply:I think unisex names are great.. I really like Jordan, Ryan(Ryanne), Riley, Morgan... and a few others.

Goodluck and I don't think you'll regret picking a unisex name... I think it makes a person unique!!
Reply:No I dont.
Reply:my daughter's name is Kamren. pronounced the same as a boy in her class named Cameron. i thought the K was more feminine
Reply:Not at all.

I like names that are clearly gender specific.
Reply:I find it interesting that many people are answering here that they are either OK with unisex names or even like it. I find that interesting because I once posted a question about the name Angel for a boy, and I got bombarded with all kinds of negative comments about naming my son a girl's name. Angel is a common boy's name in the Hispanic culture.

Anyway, I think for me it depends on the name. I have nothing against unisex names, but based on my own experience with the name, I sometimes don't see certain names as unisex, I think of them as only male or female.

For example, Alexis to me is a boy's name. But for other's it it strictly a girl's name. Same for Robin.
Reply:oh yes especially for girls

Charlie( fav. girls name)

sam

joey

danny
Reply:A few of them.
Reply:It depends what they are....like i LOVE the name kaiden for both boy or girl but it really depends....
Reply:i like some, like jadeyn and tyler and cameron and taylor for both.

but some only work for girls and some for boys.
Reply:eh not rly i have a unisex name and i like my name

but it gets annoying cause i never know whos talking about who

lol
Reply:I do I think that Chase is a great name for both a boy and a girl!!
Reply:Yes I do! I actually love them! My sister is named Noa, which is cute. I also like for girls Ryan, Jayden, Charlie, Grier, and Blake. For boys I like Taylor and Jordan. Which are all unisex names in my opinion. Also Dakota is cute for either. :)
Reply:they r ok but charlie is really sexy
Reply:depends on what the name is... i've heard a lot of them that i like for both a boy and a girl, but there have been some that don't sound unisex at all and in my opinion would only sound good for a girl or a boy
Reply:yes! They are becoming more common also, I like to be different!
Reply:no,

hate em!
Reply:Not usually.
Reply:I like most of them.

But some are just a little too must.

Like a little girl named Rusty, Tyler, Joey, or Derrick, not so much.

I'm also not crazy about names like Morgan, Lindsey, or Jadyn for a boy.
Reply:Yes, we named our daughter Charlie Marie. My wife wanted Riley but we compromised. If you like it go for it.
Reply:Well my name is Kerri and I like it. I wouldn't like it spelt with a 'y' on end though as a boy
Reply:NO. They usually sound better for one sex and this whole using things like Tyler for a girl **** needs to stop.
Reply:not really.

and if one is, and i like it, then i just prefer it for a girl or a boy.

like Alex, i like for a girl, maybe because i have a friend thats a girl named alex, but i also know a boy named alex.

for Sami/Sammie i like for either. i know a girl and a little boy named that.

i like the name erin/Aaron for a boy only.

i like Casey for a girl only.

i like Brylee/Brylie for a girl only.

i like Skylar for a girl name only, (and by the way thats my FAVORITE name ever!)

anyways.

i dont like using names for both boys and girls, i prefer for one or the other. i think they fit boys or girls better than the other.
Reply:Yes and no

Unisex names I like for both

Anaya, Zaire, Jordan, Avery, Harley, Brynn, Alex, Drew, Daryl, Corey/corie, Casey/Kaci, Devan, Hayden

Unisex names I like for boys

River, Hunter, Bailey, Michael, Peyton, Ryan, Tyler, Bradley

Unisex names for girl

Ashley, Hayley, Lesley, Jamie, Sasha, Riley, Taylor

I think naming a boy Riley a popular girl name is dumb

I think naming a girl Hunter, a popular boy name is dumb

Some unisex names could be used for either sex
Reply:i do not dislike them
Reply:Not really. It seems like lately "unisex" names are mainly applied to girls and most of the time they aren't actually unisex. There are some that are all right, but most sound too feminine for a boy and too masculine for a girl for my taste.
Reply:I don't
Reply:Some, I usually tend to like them for girls more though.
Reply:i do
