Reply:The short answer is simply that every single one of these is traditionally masculine or classically unisex (no certain gender assumptions, rather than a currently trendy crossover, in other words).

However, given their predominate feminine usage at this time -- both quite common for girls but rather unusual for boys -- I think it would be safe to say both Ashley and Bailey would likely be assumed female.

Conversely, while a few parents do use Ryan and Tristan (the traditional spelling) for their daughters, they are far more popular for boys, even now. So most would still consider them classic, masculine choices ... no question of gender unless informed otherwise. ;)

The rest are a toss up, really, with Riley, Peyton, Jordan, Hayden, Taylor, Drew (as a nickname), Casey and Cameron used about equally for both genders.

So while nearly all of these ARE masculine or truly unisex, I think most would assume ...

Riley - both

Peyton - both

Jordan - both

Hayden - both

Bailey - girl

Taylor - both

Ryan - boy

Ashley - girl

Drew - both (nickname)

Casey - both

Tristen - boy

Cameron - both

Reply:Riley - I knew a girl named riley but I think it can be used as both.

Peyton - My brothers friend who is a boy is named Peyton but again I think it can be used as both.

Jordan - Both, but more common for boys.

Hayden - I have never heard this name before but I would say both.

Bailey - I have a cousin named bailey and shes a girl but I think you could get away with it as both.

Taylor - Very commom name for both girl and boy.

Ryan - I have only heard of Ryan as being a boy name. Maybe if you spelt it differently like Rian then it might go for a girl.

Ashley - This is a girl name, although I have a friend who is going to name her boy Ashley.

Drew - Both. I know only boys with that name but the famous Drew Barrymore is a girl!

Casey - Again very common name for boys and girls. VERY COMMON!

Tristen - I don't know anybody with this name but I would say both.

Cameron - Again a very common name for boys and girls.

I love unisex names and I am looking for a unisex name for my girl. My favorite is Jaden. My name is Dani which is commonly used as a boys name. The difference is in the spelling: Girl - Danielle, Dani Boy: Daniel, Danny. My mom also has a unisex name: Terri. Again the difference is in the spelling: Girl - Terri Boy: Terry. Alot of people use an I for a girl and a Y for a boy.
