What are some great unisex names?? What are your favorite?

I love boys names on girls, my favorites are Blake, Sawyer, Mason and Hunter.

What are your favorites and do you like the ones that ive listed?

Thanks!

What are some great unisex names?? What are your favorite?
I love the name Bailey, Jayden, Rory. My son's name is Austin and I have heard it as a girls name before. I have also heard Harley as a girl but I don't like it. My favorite on your list is Mason.
Reply:I like unisex for girls ONLY (i like Ryan for a boy and Blake for both)

Riley is soo cute
Reply:Sorry, but while I love some unisex names which have actually gained enough popularity on girls (Bailey, Aubrey, Rory, etc.) the names you have on there are NOT unisex. They are all 100% boy names and looking at them written down I'd never assume a girl was being named.
Reply:I like Blake for a girl, but the other i prefer as boys name, but that's just me lol.

My fav girls names that are more considered boys names are: Madison, Skylar, Kenadi, Kendall, Taylor, and Rylee.

:D.

EDIT: Sorry smoky but the 4 names she has on there are unisex names, just cuz u think of them more as boys names doesn鈥檛 mean they aren鈥檛 unisex names.

And god Rachel Marie u sound like the infamous bunny, lol and believe me that鈥檚 nto a compliment.

There are to such things as unisex names, and while u may not like boys names on girls or whatnot doesn鈥檛 mean others can鈥檛, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Lol u have the same name as my oldest sis, so I like u name, but u need to learn to let people have their own opinions on stuff.
Reply:i think your names are great because you like them and that's all that really counts....well of course your mate needs to have a say ..but some unisex names that i think work for both and sometimes...when you read it you may think ...boy or girl...i know a girl named Ryan..and thought she was a boy until i met her....ok names...Jamie...Kelly...and you could....do all y ending or ie...Cody.....Erin.....Stevie...Carri...... some good examples.
Reply:I love Blake, Sawyer, Rian, Tyler, Berkeley, Bentley, Taylor, Ashtyn, Jaidyn, Hayden, Kaedyn, and others.
Reply:I like Dylan or Tyler
Reply:I really like Mason, that's cute! Tyler, Charlie, Taylor, Rylie, Frankie, Hartley, Ashton, Devon, Skylar, Grayson and Danica(Danny for short). The last one is unisex but its cute:)

My nieces name is Tyler Lynn, I love it and it really fits her:)
Reply:HA! People like Rachel Marie are hilarious. Quite frankly, they remind me of the five year old children with their hands crossed in the corner, eyebrows as far down as they do, stomping their feet screaming, "This is the way it is!"

The truth of the matter is, people will name their babies what they want to. And, unfortunately for you allknowing Rachel Marie, there are a lot of gray areas. There are very few names which are black and white. (William and Fred will probably never be used on girls, but look at their feminized verions: Willa and Freida. Likewise, Rose and Nancy probably won't be named to any young boys in the near future.)

What people like this Rachel person don't understand is that we (society) make the rules up ourselves. And it is completely based on our perceptions. An example: if tomorrow Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston came out with a blockbuster movie (similar to the effect that "Twilight" has had on Americans) and her name was Thomas in the movie, people would probably start naming their baby girls Thomas.

That's the way it is. No one person can control it. And stomping and crying in the corner isn't going to change it. Sorry, Rach!

Now - on to your question! :) I love the name Alex for a girl, and Hunter for a boy. I really think most people consider Hunter a boy's name, but I've seen it used on girls, so it must be unisex (especially since you consider it to be unisex!). Also cute is Nicky/Nikki and Emerson. Some people above have mentioned Blake, Dylan, and Harper. These are also cute. Of course, I love Sawyer.

*EDIT - Rachel Marie is 14 anyways.
Reply:Dana, Cassidy, Alex (love it as a girls name)
Reply:I love all of your unisex names (ESPECIALLY HUNTER) and would use them on either gender.

I also like Morgan (for a girl only), Connery, Spencer, Dakota, (for a boy only) Emerson (for a girl only), and Berkeley.
Reply:I like all of those names.

Mason and Sawyer are my favorites.

i love Addison, Emerson, and Leighton
Reply:i like carson.

and Blake
Reply:My favorite names that you've picked are Blake and Sawyer. I wouldn't pick Mason for either gender, but that's just me.

My name is Morgan. Sometimes when I was younger I felt like my parents had given me a stupid boy name, and I confess that on occasion I still wish I had a long beautiful feminine name. Names like my sisters and my friends had - Alyssa, Elisabeth, Victoria, Isabella.

At the least I would have liked to sound like a girl right off the bat with a name like Allison or Megan. As I got older, my name wasn't so important anymore and now I think it fits me. But just as it's difficult for some boys to be named Hilllary or Dana, it can be hard for girls to carry unisex names throughout life. Kids are very concerned about being instantly recognized as a boy or a girl, and your daughter probably won't be happy when she finds out a boy (or three) in her class shares her name.

A good half-way point might be something like giving your daughter a feminine name like Samantha and calling her Sam, or a unisex name like Carson with a feminine nickname like Carrie.
Reply:"Sorry, but while I love some unisex names which have actually gained enough popularity on girls (Bailey, Aubrey, Rory, etc.)"

Check the stats, because Hunter and Blake are both used more on girls than Rory is. Hunter reached an all-time high for girls of the 308th most popular name for girls in 1998, Blake reached an all-time high for girls of the 906th most popular name for girls in 1995, and Rory reached a lower all-time-high of #987 for girls and dropped out of the Top 1000 a year later, if usage determines gender then Blake and Hunter are more girls names than Rory. : )

I don't find them trashy at all, actually I think they are very elegant and stylish as long as they are spelled correctly and not Huntyr or Blayke or any other attempt to make it more feminine.

I love Blake for a girl, it's so elegant and stylish, actress Blake Lively is pretty well known today, so people should be used to Blake on a girl, and it suits Blake Lively perfectly.

Sawyer is okay for a girl, I prefer it on a boy, but it could grow on me on a girl.

I like Mason for a girl, but I find it slightly dull for either gender to be honest ... I think Sawyer and Hunter are more exciting. There was a girl called Mason on Nip/Tuck a little while ago.

I like Hunter for a girl too.

These are some unisex names I like:

Sterling

Harper

Lexington

Wynn

Chandler

Devon

McKenna

Emerson
Reply:I do not think that Sawyer and Mason work for girls, but thats just my opinion. Some I've heard:

Blaine

Brighton

Quinn

Carson

Brett

Emerson
Reply:Sam- i love this its so simple but cute.

Dylan/Dillon- another favorite.

Ryanne/Ryan

i really like blake
Reply:There is no such thing as a unisex name.

Boy's names are boy's names, and are masculine and trashy on a girl.

Girl's names are girl's names, and should stay that way.

Thre is only one exception to my rule, and that name is Remy for a girl.

Please, do not make your daughter have an identity crisis if you name HER Blake or Sawyer

EDIT: You are correct, 100% correct. But, if you look, you'll see I asked those questions over 3-5 months ago.

I have come around and seen that I was completely wrong; boy's names should not be used on girls.

Opinions can change, ya know. But nice try :)

ok I see your point, you're right. But I'm still trying to let ya know that I changed. And while I was once oblivious and ignorant, I'm not now.
