What do you think of unisex names?

What do all of you think of "unisex" names.

Im due to have my 3rd child, in November.....and Im having a really hard time trying to find a name. *GIRL*

My husbands name is James....so I kind of like Jaymes.

I also like Joie, Amelia, Mia......

As of right now, its Olivia...but dang, that name is SOOO freakin common now-days..... :(

What do you think of unisex names?
Its personal choice but I don't like them - I think its like strangely spelt names - while the parents may think they are trendy the child spends their life explaining who they are !

I know of a Tim %26amp; Carol ( married) she is Tim - he is Carol ! Can you imagine the confusion it causes !

Have a look in a baby name book for a girls name - there are thousands of options - I'm sure you'll find something.

Mia or Amelia are very sweet although Amelia will get usually shortened to Amy.
Reply:I love the name Amelia...you could use James or Jaymes or Jaymie as a middle name.

Life can be kind of hard for kids with names that sound like they were meant to be for the opposite gender....had a High School classmate named Lynn (boy-actually spelled this way); he was a cool guy, but boy did he take the crap over the years...even accidentally appeared on the list for Homecoming queen voting our senior year and we had to re-vote because he made the final list!

Good luck.
Reply:i really like unisex names

like my favorite acctually for a girl is Charley :)

and Jaymes and Joie is just adorable!!

and yeah it's too bad the name olivia is so common because thats pretty too

best of luck!

i hope i helped a little :)
Reply:im due with my first daughter in november(lol)

here are some unisex names: Devan, jamie, tyler, kasey, and jordan
Reply:alot of my friends name their daughters boyish names i think its cute, i always like pierce for a girl i thought it was a strong name but i dont see anything wrong with the names
Reply:I don't mind unisex names, I just don't like when people try to make a name unisex when it really isn't. I like Amelia from the names you listed and a unisex name I like is Morgan. Olivia is pretty, but it is really popular right now.
Reply:I really don't like using unisex names on girls; they sound so masculine and they don't seem to suit women.

Amelia is a really pretty name, and it isn't masculine at all. The French version of Amelia (Am茅lie) would be nice too.

Misspelling James as Jaymes and slapping it on a girl really isn't the best idea. Jaime might be better.
Reply:sometimes unisex names don't work for girls. i know a girl named graycn. and my boyfriend's name is grayson.. amelia and mia are just adorable. a unique name is "Gwen" and Olivia is a very pretty name. and i love the name "Carly".

:D
Reply:I like unisex names for girls!!!

I really like the name:

Jamison for a girl....and it seems to be fairly appropriate, since you want to use your husband's name in her name.

How about:

Jamison Olivia

Jamison Mia

Jamison Rellah

Jamison Kaine

Jamison Selene

Hope this helps

= )
Reply:Sam! %26lt;3 it!
Reply:jody is cool
Reply:My whole name is a unisexual name. (Kammy is my nickname) I hated it growing up, I felt ugly like I was a boy or something, but now that I am an adult, I love my name! It is unique and I have never met anyone with the spelling of my name. I dont really want to say it cause of internet safety and all! If you like the name Jaymes, than thats what you should choose.....if you want it more feminine, maybe try Jamie. I think it's cute though, who cares what other people think, it's your baby, not theirs!
Reply:I'm all for unisex names my parents have the same first name....its pretty cool
Reply:What about Gage cute for both or Tyler if want more common! All time favorite is Cheyenne
Reply:i think it depends on the unisex name. for example: taylor, jadon, logan are cute no matter what. my personal prefrence for girls is to stay a little more on the girly side. I really like Mia or Maya.

Olivia is a very common name, it could be a really good middle name:

Mia Olivia

Jaymes Olivia

Amelia Olivia

congratulations!
Reply:I love unisex names and they open so many more doors.

Ps. My name is Devin and i am a girl!!!
Reply:I hate unisex names.

My name is Jamie and my hubby's brother is named James but goes by Jamie. I do not like being compared to a boy.

EX.

No girls should be named Evan, James, Devin, Kensington.

No boys should be named Ashley, Dana, Kelly, Casey.

Amelia is a beautiful name. It is one of my choices for my girl.

That is soo funny LB......I know a married couple names Terri %26amp; Carroll. She is Terri %26amp; he is Carroll.
