Would you name your son or daughter any of these unisex/androgynous names?

If you were picking a name for your newborn son or daughter, would you consider any of these choices?

1) Angel

2) Ariel

3) Blair

4) Blaise

5) Blu

6) Chance

7) Dorian

8) Gale

9) Gaye (may originate from the French commune of the same name)

10) Haruka (Japanese name)

11) Kobe (as in Kobe Bryant the NBA player, and Kobe Tai the adult film star)

12) Marion (was birth name of actor John Wayne)

13) Noel

14) Sky

15) Teagan

16) Valentine

Would you name your son or daughter any of these unisex/androgynous names?
First off, I wouldn't consider some of these names unisex.

Boys names only:

Blaise - would not use

Dorian - would consider

Chance - would use on a male dog

Kobe - would not use

Noel - (pronounced 'nole'. The girls name prounounced 'no-elle' would be spelt Noelle) might use as a middle name as it is a family name

Girls names only:

Teagan - might use but rhymes with my name, which is Megan

Ariel - would use

Sky - probably wouldn't use

Unisex/just plain strange names:

Angel - might use as a middle name

Blair - might consider for either gender

Blu - never in a million years

Gale - would not use

Gaye (may originate from the French commune of the same name) would not use, I mean, could you imagine the teasing?

Haruka (Japanese name) - would not use

Marion (was birth name of actor John Wayne) - probably would not use

Valentine - might use as a middle name on either gender
Reply:1) Angel - Such a girl's name

3) Blair - Boy, but no

12) Marion - No

13) Noel - Quite like this for a boy

14) Sky- Girl

15) Teagan - Definitely girl

11. Kobe: computer software. Koby maybe? (plus you'd name your kid after an adult film star?)

12. Marion: this is not androgynous, and still no.

13. Noel: is this [NO-ELLE] or [NOWLE] rhyming with joel? consider it maybe.

14. Sky: nice idea, but i wouldnt personally use it.

15. Teagan: ANDROGYNOUS? and no. maybe Tegan, but still no.

Reply:I've seen people do Blaise for a girl. I don't like it for a girl. I would name a boy Angel, perhaps, and for sure a girl. Sky, um, not for a girl... Skyler yes. Noel, well, why not for a christmas baby? All the rest, uh, no.
Reply:I'd never name my boy: Angel, Ariel, Gale, Gaye, Marion, Noel, Teagan, or Valentine.

I'd never name my girl: Blaise, Blu, Chance, Dorian, or Kobe.
Reply:Noel - I've known one woman and one man with this name, but he pronounced it like Joel, and she pronounced it like Noelle, which is the spelling I'd prefer for a girl. I like both.
Reply:I would use teagan cos i know plenty of teagans so it wouldnt exactly be out of the ordinary.

Or Kobe just cos i love the bball player =p

And Gale and marion are nice i think.
Reply:I quite like Teagan. But my boyfriend doesn't like unisex names for some reason, so he's banned them for our future children. It's quite annoying because a lot of the names I like are unisex! x
Reply:Yes.

I have a daughter named Blaise. I totally love that name. She's 10 years old and loves her name as well.
Reply:Dorian, Gale, Teagan, Marion and Noel are the only ones that I like.
Reply:I would use:

Blair

Chance

Teagan

%26amp;

Ariel
Reply:I might use Ariel Noel for a boy but that is all My friend named her son Koby
Reply:I like "Blaise," but I wouldn't use it for a girl.
Reply:Sky is about the only one but I would only use it as a middle name x
