I role play in secondlife and am in an army. Some of my officers, that I speak with, I've never seen so I need a safe way of addressing them. An way to address them that'll work for a male or a female?
A unisex name(polite) to replace ma'am and sir.?
Just refer to them as officer or soldier whatever they are

Reply:Hey you.
Reply:Sir.
I've heard regular military personnel sometimes call officers "sir" . . . even if the officer is a woman.
"Sir" is the correct unisex response.
