Is Kris a unisex name?

I am from a foreign country and my nickname is Kris in my home country. I want to give people that same name as my nick name here in the US, but I am afraid I will be teased coz it sounds like a female name. Can I use Kris, as a male, and not be ridiculed at?

Yes, it is a unisex name, but it is common enough for both boys and girls that you should not be ridiculed. That's my opinion, you may run into some people that want to ridicule you but most probably will not---

one can spell n pronounce his/her name n the way he feels like.


another option is tht u can tell people that ur name is 'krish' n not kris. in the great hindu mythology its the name of lord shri krishna.
