Is the name Rene a female, male or a unisex name?

Unisex (the spelling "Rene" is masculine however), many girls now a day have the name Rene, but it is spelled Renee, but pronounced the same. Back in time, a famous French scientist ( a man) was named Rene. Good luck! Check www.babynames.com

The spelling Rene is actually the masculine form of Renee meaning REBORN in French.

Reply:Male or female, i think it's usually female though, perhaps that's just my personal experience.
Reply:It is definitely a female's name-but usually it is spelled Renee.

Reply:Its unisex. I know of women and men named Rene. I have an aunt named Rene and Celine Dion is married to a man named Rene and named her son Rene also. So its either or.

God Bless!
Reply:Rene for a girl is spelled Renee, for a boy (most likely french) its Rene
Reply:can be both but I personally think it's an ugly name for a little girl. I think as a little boy name it's a bit ugly.
Reply:With that spelling, I'm pretty sure that it is a male name. If you tack an 'e' on to the end, then it's female, I believe.
Reply:The name itself is unisex. Rene with one 'e' is the male form Renee with two "e's" is the female form. but there are many variations, my middle name is Renae.(F) i personally feel its a girls name. In france and many places its a common male name ( its celine dion's husbands name)
Reply:unisex, man's name in French, girl's in English
Reply:Female baby.
