What do you think of these unisex names for a boy?

I love these names, they all are unisex names, what do you think for a boy?

Ansley

Ashley

Avery

Bevan

Caelyn

Gayle

Hailee

Jean

Jody

Leigh

Macey

Sage

Shannan

Stacey

Are these unisex names good for a boy?

If you think they are to girlie, they are unisex names

If people can name girls Logan and James and Evan, which are boys names, Why not these unisex names for a boy?

What do you think of these unisex names for a boy?
I personally like girl names to be girl names and boy names to be boy names. So from the list you have, the one that sounds more like a boy name yet is unisex like you want is Sage.
Reply:Yes! And usually when they are spelled different...here are some nice ones:

Taylor

Robin (Robyn for a girl)

Leslie

Tracey

Adrian (Adrianne for a girl)

Regan

Rudy

Billy (Billie for a girl)

Bobby (Bobbie is for a girl)

I also like Devin for a Boy and Devan for a girl

Kameron for a boy and Cameron for a girl!

Names like these show a man is confident with himself...

Too doornumb...Ashley was originally a boy's name but so many girls were names that,...so it is either a boys' name that so many girls ar using or a unisex name, and I think the latter is more acceptable...if it is accepted for both genders, than that is what makes it unisex
Reply:Just because they are labeled 'unisex' doesn't mean that they aren't leaning towards one gender or another. Yes, people name daughters Reagan, Logan, things like that- but I have yet to meet a girl named James. These aren't really unisex names- unisex names are more along the lines of Avery, Jamie, Morgan, Ansley... Jody? Stacey? Bevan? Gayle? Those are so girly it isn't even funny. If you have a son, and name him something like that, he will be teased mercilessly in school. He will hate his name, and resent you for naming him something like "Ashley" or "Gayle".
Reply:Ansley Its okay, could be used for a boy

Ashley NOOOO!!!

Avery I always thought of this as a boys name

Bevan never heard this one before, i dont like it either way

Caelyn not for a boy, much to fem.

Gayle ""

Hailee ""

Jean ""

Jody ""

Leigh I know a boy named Leigh, I think this one is okay

Macey no way! much too girly

Sage I dont like this for a boy or a girl

Shannan too girly

Stacey ''"
Reply:Yay unisex names! :] I have a boy name hah.

I really like Ashley, Avery (I babysit an adorable boy named Avery), Leigh, Sage, and I'll add in my own: Bailey, Morgan, Casey, Alex, Tyler, Jordan, Jamie.
Reply:i think that Ansley Avery Bevan Jean and Leigh are the best unisex names for a boy. the rest i associate more with girl names.

also i know plenty of guys and girls named evan so id say its def a unisex name. as for logan im not really sure but i think james is more of a boys name...it works better as a middle name for a girl i think.
Reply:Ansley - dont like it.

Ashley - like it for a girl.

Avery- cute.

Bevan -reminds me of bevus and butthead.

Caelyn - cute but i like it kailyn

Gayle- reminds me of an old lady

Hailee - cute for a girl.

Jean- my grandmas name

Jody- the guy who cuts our grass.

Leigh - cute middle name

Macey- adorable for a girl.

Sage- like the spice

Shannan- again too girly.

Stacey- girly. dont like it

so basically the only name i like for a girl and boy is avery.
Reply:*Ansley--How about Ainsley?

*Ashley--could be okay, if you call him Ash more often.

*Avery--This one could work.

*Bevan--I can't imagine this as a name at all, so I can't say either way.

*Caelyn--This sounds WAY too feminine. Not girly, but feminine.

*Gayle--They could be teased incessantly "GAY-le"

*Hailee--Once again, too feminine.

*Jean--Or Gene? Or if you said it the French way, which is a snooty, half-hearted "John".

*Jody--I've met a guy named Jody. My best friend's stepdad. Yeah... this name is forever ruined for me, but it's okay for a guy.

*Leigh--If you're going to say it "lee", then good. If it's "lay", just think of what the kids at school will say.

*Macey--This brings to mind the store at first, but then it grows on you. I think I like it!

*Sage--I really like this one, but I'd use it for a middle name, personally.

*Shannan--Doherty! No. no. I'm kidding. Actually I really like it. It's Gaelic, right?

*Stacey--" 's mom has got it goin' on!" No.

Basically, make fun of every name you choose. If you think the kid can withstand the torment of the horrid things their classmates will call them, then GO FOR IT!

Becky Dawn

P.S. Dear doornumberthree, ever seen Pearl Harbor? The seventeen year old nurse, Betty, is played by James King. And she doesn't go by Jamie. She's also in Sin City, but I can't remember the character name.
Reply:Caelyn, Gayle, Hailee, Jean, Jody, Shannan and Stacey are all names that I relate are more towards girls. BUT I am biased because I've only known girls with these names - I'm sure if I knew boys with these names my opinion would change. For instance Jean (spelled Gene for a boy) I didn't even think of it as being a girls name when I met the two guys I know with that name.
Reply:these could work:

Ansley

Avery

Bevan

Jean

Leigh

Sage

not these:

ashley

Caelyn

Gayle

Hailee

Jody

Macey

Shannan

Stacey

some names should stay girl names...

but some should also stay boy names like Logan and James of those you listed. I'm wondering though..you couldn't find any real boy names you liked?
Reply:Ansley - very black name no offence intended

Ashley - common but i like it

Avery - girly

Bevan - nice

Caelyn - adorable

Gayle - girly

Hailee - girly

Jean - girly

Jody - girly

Leigh - nice but again i would go with the more male spelling of lee

Macey - girly

Sage - wierd

Shannan - hmm its ok

Stacey - yeah i like it for a boy but would spell it stacy
Reply:I love Caelyn and Shannon for a boy. Keep in mind the terrible mindset of most people; they see these names as more feminine. I think that these names need a more masculine spelling. Not all can do that but Shannon for example can be spelled as Shannen.

Reply:Well, I don't think of Ainsley or Avery as unisex. They are boys names. I've never heard a girl with either name.

Hailee is a girls name - it could be a boys if spelled Hayley.
Reply:The only ones I like are Ashley, Jody, and Avery. And for the record, I don't like any of them for girls.
Reply:I only really like ansley and avery, and I guess Im ok with Stacey because sometimes I call random guys in the hall that... (just dont ask...) :]
